No one should be buying bonds as an investment.  I don't understand people.  You know bond prices HAVE to go up,  Just hold on to them and sell them for more money, But em in a couple years when they are cheap again.

Is it the future value in 10 years if I pay 100 today?

No that is the price you pay today to get $100.10 years from now. In the interim time you collect all the coupons from the bond. Discounting the interest payments along with the present value and the know $100 future value give you the current yield

I don't feel like doing the math but it means a .6 yield more or less.

there are 32 ticks per point in a 10 year note. the value of each tick is $31.25 per 1 contract. So, 1 future for one point price change is a change in value of $1000. 31.25 x 32= 1000.

For all of you millennials and generation Z. Because you’ve never seen a recession or anything other than a fake bubble. Get ready for 1700 to 2000 on the S&P. And probably $90 US dollar. That means you buy gold. And puts. 100% uncertainty in this market is about to get cut in half from it 3394 high

Its a once in a century pandemic that is going to ********million.  DO you think anyone cares that the economy will slow down.  Eventually we wil shut down enough of the country to get ahead of the virus and the government will tell people to use chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine and the deaths will decrease.  After that we will bring drug production back to the US and move a lot of production out of china.  We will come together as a nation.  Please understand a million people are infected in the US right now but we have only detected 4k people.  Rates will be zero or negative, people will refinance, we will be better, stronger nation after we get past this.
