Sigh why do I come here.  Ever time I see bonds this cheap I think.  Were screwed. The fed needs to print money and force lending.

Daniel Rubin   bonds are only expensive when you think yields should be this high.  The fed just needs to buy up all the bonds and drive the price up to teach everyone to not be stupid.  NO one should be buying bonds now..... NO one...

on the 30 yr???? you are crazy.  .20 is a huge move for a 30 yr.   Yields drop fast on shorter term bonds but 30 year will not go a whole lot lower. I do think it will go below 1% but not much below .75 and only for a short period.

Andrew Allen  he FED is the only thing the FED is concerned about.  LOL.  They may lie and tell people they care and are superman, but ultimately the only care about themselves.  They only make changes that benefit them in the near or long term.

maybe a little below .75, but not much and not for long.  I think it will settle in at .8 until the fed starts to raise rates.  They aren't even done lowering rates yet, so it will be a while.  Likely the next time conservatives gain power in an election.

Is this the end of the "sovereign bonds" bubble or do we see more "marching to negative rates?"  Chart seems to indicate a bottom, but I'm not sure that people won't lend the government more money.  After all, with such a great President and Congress, who wouldn't want to lend the US more money at 2% for 30 years?
