I see comments trying to link unemployment, jobless claims, small business, recession, economy etc. with market itself. You just read news on the net and you find out things are not going well for regular people and again you realize you can make some money selling your stocks to buy half price or short the market. Isnt that naive? Chinese virus was there mid 2019 and chinese government covered up for at leadt 6 months. You are the last one to hear good and bad news.

I am just confused.  Why is Dow Jones still so high?  The market still act like this Covid-19 is going away soon.  How is that even possible considering that it would take months if not years to vaccinate 370 million people in the US.  Even if we have a working vaccine today, I would imagine that it would take a long time to vaccinate everyone. Look at the Covid-19 testing, it takes months just to 1 million test.  How can Wallstreet keep telling lies like things will bounce back in the third quarter?  Are you kidding me?  I can't understand statement like the economy will bounce back strongly right away.  Even September 11 is a one time thing and it took months for people to really start flying again.  How is that these ****genius think that it will bounce back like it never happened the moment the curve flatten without any cure not to mention it will take months or years even with the cure?

If we had a vaccine today Put someone giving shots full time in every CVS, Rite Aid Walgreens and walmart that is 25,000 stores x 6 shots per hour 16 hours a day that is 2.4 million shots per day.145 days to vaccinate everyone in the USA

as others have said...fed is pumping money.  but what does that mean?  it means the market isn't going up in real terms.  it's going up only in dollar terms.  but dollars are worth less.  even when you know it for a fact, as many do, it still *feels* up.

Is the Fed going to bail every single business out ? won't help , a global collapse of the inflated markets is inevitable. Earnings are terrible all the way across the board , and markets still rally the world is in a Pandemic . It's disgusting to look at the positive trading , based on what ? there is no good data to suggest these rallys. not one has received a penny from stimulus. all negative data.

i think the fed will try to bail out substantially all corporations that "only" require a quarter's worth of operating expenses as a loan.  which is still a very large amount of money and yes very inflationary.

Majority expects a crash or at least double dip at around 18K. That is why it wont happen and smart money will buy until majority believes the other way. At some point, even the bears will question the crash scenario. That is when it may go down. But not earlier.

I'm beginning to realize that even though the economy crashes the stock market may not, because they will keep printing money until the currency is devalued rather than letting the stock market crash?

It never broke out above yesterday's high. I didn't get what I expected today, but there was no way to know that Trump would Tweet about oil today.  With that said, we'll see if we continue to stay below 21,500 tomorrow.

Henrik Aiaxs Johann Idulsa  I will answer the question this time, but I'll never answer it again with you if you refuse to take it context if it doesn't work out: it's really annoying and childish.  I think it will be RED tomorrow IF and ONLY IF there isn't some random unpredictable factor to come into play tomorrow like another Trump tweet. If we end up with some random new positive information tomorrow, all bets are off on what one day alone will do.  I still believe we'll see anywhere between 15k and 18k, but when we get there, I don't know.
