Xinhua News Agency, Chengdu, May 23 (Reporter Xie Tao) The reporter learned from the China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group that at 21:56 on May 22, the Leshan section of the Chengdu-Kunming railway, which had been interrupted by the heavy rain, was completely re-opened. Transport order gradually returned to normal. The disaster caused a total of 27 passenger vehicles to be affected, 18 stops and 9 returned.

On the night of May 21, heavy rain fell in Sichuan's central and eastern regions, and the maximum daily rainfall at the Yangang station of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway exceeded 228 mm. In the 9-hour continuous rainstorm, there were 11 disasters such as slope slides, flooded beds, and buried rails between the Jiuli Railway Station and the Luxi Station on the Chengdu-Kunming Railway in Leshan, Sichuan Province.

Chengdu Bureau Group cooperated with local governments to connect highways by means of transportation, and 8 passengers were safely evacuated to transport more than 800 passengers. The railway stations throughout the country refunded more than 6,300 tickets in total and used more than 600 people. Put into excavators, loaders and other mechanical equipment, the roadbed to reduce load more than 2400 earth and stone, complete more than 2800 bags of sand reinforcement in the embankment, and reinforce more than 20 communication cables.
